Ann Ton, is a philanthropist and an agency owner of a State Farm Insurance Brokerage Firm. Ann's mom moved to the United State of America when Ann was eight years old. In her early childhood, Ann saw her mom work very hard to become an independent and self-sufficient woman who was still always helping others. This influenced Ann to become a self-motivated business woman with a passion toward giving back to others. Doing charitable work has been a life-long passion for Ann. At the age of 25, Ann personally sponsored a child in the Philippines and has, over the years, volunteered a great deal of her time working with several different charitable organizations to help people all over the globe.
Forming the charitable foundation, "Girls Minding Business", has been a dream come true for Ann. Considering her spirit of giving, Ann strongly believes that empowering girls and women to make choices toward becoming independent, confident, efficient and productive members of society is a great benefit for everyone. The mission of the Foundation is providing charitable programs, mentorships, development workshops, and grants to assist young girls and women in becoming business leaders, business owners, and entrepreneurs in their communities. Ann believes that this charitable foundation will help empower women of all backgrounds and ethnicity to make a more positive impact and greater contribution to their individual community and the world in which they live.
